Whether you’re hosting a small private event, or a multi block festival, we can help you fill in the gaps and create an experience everyone will remember. Here’s how we can help:

Traffic management plans: If your event impacts a roadway, sidewalk, or bike lane you will need to obtain a traffic management plan. Fernwood can produce scale plans that offer far more detail than other traffic companies. We realize that these traffic plans are used by first responders and city staff to plan for safety and neighbourhood impacts, so our plans are easy to read and tailored to their needs. Once a plan has been created, it can be amended where needed and used for years to come. Especially if you have an annual event, choosing a Fernwood plan is a great investment.

Site plans: Typically, the local permitting body will require the organizer to submit a scale site plan showing the layout of stages, tents, vendors, washrooms and recycling stations etc. Fernwood site plans are created using industry leading software, resulting in professional documents that makes running your event easier. Like the traffic management plans, our documents can be updated as needed and used for years to come.

Safety plans: Fernwood works with first responder groups to create maps and documents related to public safety. Typically, these plans note requirements such as police assets, first aid stations and evacuation/egress/ingress routes. Plans come in the form of visual maps, written documents, or both.

Notification plans: Fernwood can produce and distribute event notifications to impacted community members. In our experience, notifying affected neighbors is crucial to avoiding complaints which can impact the future viability of your event. This is especially true when road closures mean traffic will either be re-routed or blocked entirely. Mail outs are recommended for apartments and high-rises to ensure the information is received.
